We got a contract on our house last Friday. Yay! We have finally been able to focus on our move to Denver. We are finalizing temporary housing and planning the move. We are so thankful that our house sold, and we feel like God has an amazing plan for our family and that this is part of it.
Tomorrow, Kevin and I leave for Cinque Terre, Italy, and then on to Chamonix, France, to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary (a little late). After that trip, we'll be home for just over a week before we drive to Chicago with the kids for the Chicago Marathon. Go, Daddy, Go! Once we get home from that trip, we will only have a few days before the movers show up and start packing.
Corbin knows we are moving and is generally excited about getting to Colorado. He also has flashes of "I don't want to leave this house" or "I'm going to miss my friends" but at the end of the day he wants to go where the skiing is. I don't think Emerson understands at all. I have mostly been focused on how she is going to do this week at my parents, or rather, how Mom and Dad will manage with my high maintenance little lady.
We are excited, exhausted, overwhelmed, thankful, sad, tired . . . so many things. But definitely excited, and just ready to get on with it.
Let Our Mountain Adventures begin!
